Vintage Camper Ed Emberley style

Ed Emberly's Fabric PillowsEd Emberley Fabric Pillows"In an effort to get her whole family (husband Clay, sons Ever & Levi, 10 & 8) onboard with camping, Cindy got the birdbrained idea to buy an old, battered, 1978 fiberglass camper called a "Scamp," and restore it over the summer. Over the next few months, Clay and Cindy together learned how to repair fiberglass, polish aluminum, peel ridiculous amounts of old paint, sand, sand, and sand some more, paint with boat enamel, use a rivet gun, sand some more, and a bunch of other stuff one normally doesn't expect to spend the summer doing. But by August, the Morrows were still married, and the Scamp was ready for its first trip! The best part, by far, is the use of Cloud 9's Emberley fabrics for the camper's curtains and pillows. Clay and Cindy, both artists and writers in the animation industry, grew up learning how to draw from Ed Emberley and his amazing books. The moment Cindy saw the Emberley Forest Friends fabric, she knew she had found the "piéce de résistance." Thank you Cloud 9 and Emberley family!"

A little Ed Emberley alligators in your kitchen? And here's a link to some terrific table napkins Pixie Spit on Etsy

next up this week - a post devoted to my favorite pattern, the Scribble. I grew up with scribbles. When we were young and my parents took us to restaurants, we played the scribble game where my father would draw a scribble and we had to make a picture out of it. Scribbles stretch your imagination and look fabulous on fabric as well!
